Dental Implant
Teeth, essential for lifelong existence within the mouth, can be lost due to inadequate care, genetic predispositions leading to decay, or gum diseases. These losses create gaps in the mouth, disrupting the chewing function. While removable prostheses offer partial chewing functionality, they often bring discomfort and aesthetic concerns. Bridge systems, although providing a solution, may cause some damage to the adjacent teeth due to their structure. In response to these challenges, implant systems have been developed to replace lost teeth effectively. An implant, typically a titanium screw, serves as the foundation for a dental prosthesis. Placed within the jawbone, dental implants function as a sturdy support structure. In cases of single tooth loss, it is possible to restore missing teeth without affecting neighboring healthy ones. Similarly, for multiple tooth deficiencies, dental prostheses can be used instead of removable options. The process of implant surgery typically takes about 10-15 minutes per implant.
Before
Prior to undergoing dental implant surgery, our skilled implant surgery dentist will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth. Utilizing X-ray scans, the dentist will assess the condition of your gums, nerves, and jaw structure. In cases where there is insufficient bone density, additional procedures may be required to create a suitable bone substructure before implant placement. Once preparations are complete, the surgery can commence. Depending on the individual case, the operation can be performed immediately after tooth extraction or scheduled for a later time. It's important to note that smoking can have a detrimental effect on the success of the operation; therefore, patients are advised to cease smoking both before and after the procedure.
during
During the dental implant procedure in Turkey, there are two primary stages involved. In the initial stage, the dentist will create an incision in the gum and securely position the implant into the jawbone. Following this step, a waiting period is necessary for the roots to integrate seamlessly with the jawbone. Once this integration is successful, replacement teeth are attached or bonded into place. The surgery is performed under anesthesia for comfort. The duration of the operation varies depending on the number of teeth being implanted, typically ranging from 10 to 15 minutes per tooth.
after
Following dental implant surgery, it is not necessary to stay at the Harmony facility. However, all patients are advised to adhere to the following guidelines:
Take prescribed medications and antibiotics as directed by the doctor.
Limit chewing to light foods for one or two days post-surgery; this is a normal precaution and typically resolves quickly.
Avoid using the implanted teeth for chewing for a couple of days after the procedure, and refrain from consuming hard foods.
Maintain excellent oral hygiene to facilitate a healthy healing process post-implant surgery.
Dental implants represent the most technologically advanced and durable option for tooth replacement. By restoring your smile with dental implants, you can regain self-confidence and enjoy a brilliant smile for years to come.
