Abdominoplasty

Our appearance significantly influences both our self-perception and how others perceive us. A toned and well-shaped body often correlates with heightened confidence and self-esteem. However, obstacles such as sagging in the abdomen area can hinder achieving the desired look.

Harmony offers Abdominoplasty surgery, performed by our skilled team of doctors dedicated to delivering professional and high-quality treatment.

Why a Abdominoplasty?

Multiple factors lead people to do the surgery and some of these reasons are:

  • Sagging after pregnancy.

  • Sagging after losing weight.

  • Cracks in the abdominal area.

  • Masculine abdomen dangling.

Harmony doctors take every case into consideration and give a suitable treatment for every case they encounter. We provide a pre-operation examination to ensure our patient’s health.

Before Abdominoplasty:

Our patient's well-being is important, thorough consultation is essential to understand expectations. Our doctors offer complimentary pre-operation consultations to ensure patients feel confident in their decision. Here are key guidelines to consider:

  • Inform doctors of any chronic diseases.

  • Disclose all medications being consumed to the doctor.

  • The presence of infections or scars around the abdominal area will be assessed by the doctors for suitability.

  • Avoid aspirin and painkillers one week prior to surgery.

  • Refrain from smoking and consuming alcohol three weeks before the surgery.

  • Consume light meals before the surgery.

  • Avoid anti-depressants and weight loss pills three weeks before the surgery.

During Abdominoplasty:

Following our comprehensive examinations, the doctors will prepare you for abdominoplasty surgery, which typically lasts 2-4 hours depending on the chosen technique: Full Abdominoplasty or Mini Abdominoplasty.

- Full Abdominoplasty: Ideal for patients with extensive loose skin.

- Mini Abdominoplasty: Suitable for minor sagging and limited excess fat.

Under general anesthesia, incisions of eight to ten centimeters will be made below the abdominal navel and above the pubic area in a horizontal fashion. Antibiotics will be administered to prevent infections. Scars resulting from the procedure align with the natural bikini line and fade over time.

Note: Additional surgeries such as breast augmentation/reduction and liposuction can be performed concurrently with abdominoplasty.

After Abdominoplasty:

Ensuring post-surgery care is crucial for achieving optimal results. Here are some important guidelines to follow:

  • Wear the provided medical corset as instructed by your doctors.

  • Obtain approval from your doctors for bathing.

  • Avoid intense laughing, sneezing, and coughing during the first week of the operation to promote rapid stitch recovery.

  • Stay out of direct sunlight after the operation.

  • Take prescribed medications regularly and as directed by your doctors.

  • Refrain from engaging in heavy sports activities during the first month following surgery.

  • Avoid smoking and consuming alcohol.

  • Expect to return to normal activities within 2 to 4 weeks post-operation.

Note: Some patients may experience mild pain or swelling in the abdomen area after the operation, which is normal. Painkillers will be provided to manage discomfort.
